Mike grew up in west suburban Villa Park, Illinois. He attended the University of Illinois in Champaign, Illinois where he earned Bachelor’s degrees in Finance and Economics. He is an avid Fighting Illini fan and enjoys watching Illini basketball and football whenever he has a chance.
Mike has a significant background in customer service oriented work, having spent 5 years with Andersen Consulting and 5 years as an independent contractor in the management consulting field before venturing into real estate.
Mike’s family invested in residential investment properties while he was growing up and his passion for real estate began at a young age. He began investing in real estate in 1995 and earned his salesperson license in 2001. Mike continues to invest in residential rental properties and in education in order to stay abreast of the latest real estate trends and technology. He recently earned an advanced realtor designation known as GRI (Graduate of the Realtor Institute). He also serves on the Agent Leadership Council in his office. He thrives on sharing his knowledge and experience with his clients so they can make informed decisions and prides himself on his responsiveness to the questions and needs of his clients.
Mike is a knowledgeable, experienced realtor and consistent top producer who puts the needs of his clients first. During his 10 years of professional experience in the consulting industry prior to obtaining his real estate license, Mike learned how to listen to his clients, quickly identify their main objectives, problems and priorities and deliver solutions that exceeded their expectations. He uses the same approach when working with his real estate clients. Mike utilizes his extensive market knowledge, cutting edge technology, and proven negotiating skills to assist sellers and buyers in obtaining the best possible price and making their transactions smooth and worry free.
Mike’s business is driven primarily by referrals from past clients, friends and family. In 2008, 80% of Mike's business came from referrals and past clients. Mike specializes in helping his clients buy and sell luxury condos, single-family homes, and residential investment properties in Chicago in the River North, Gold Coast, Lincoln Park, Lakeview, Roscoe Village, Edgewater, Ravenswood, Rogers Park, Lincoln Square, Bucktown, Loop, South Loop, West Loop and Uptown areas. He has helped his clients close more than 50 million dollars in real estate transactions and has helped more than 150 families successfully find or sell their properties since getting his license in 2001.

Dave Nimick has been friends with Mike for over 10 years. Consistently an office top producer, Dave specializes in personal residences and residential investment properties. Since obtaining his real estate license alongside Mike in 2001, he has helped nearly 100 families find or sell their homes. In late 2004, Mike and Dave decided to join forces and pool their experience to better serve their clients.
Dave grew up in Marin County California, just north of San Francisco. He attended the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, where he earned
Bachelor’s degrees in communications. Dave has a significant background in customer service having owned and operated a food delivery service in California and serving as a district manager at Enterprise Rent-A-Car here in Chicago before venturing into real estate.
Dave is a huge Cubs fan, and lives in, where else? Wrigleyville.
Cathy Schelter has been a full-time licensed real estate agent since 2001. She’s recently passed her broker’s exam and is studying to be a general contractor.
